“Good experience. The bus picks you up from your accommodation and then it is a 2 hour trip to Halong Bay with a couple of rest stops. Our guide was really nice. Did this end of December so slightly cool on the bay. The boat was nice, everyone was seated. Staff on board was very nice. Nothing luxurious about the boat, you can see the wear and tear. For us Halong was a complete disaster waste of time. There was not much to do except a little bit of kayaking, swimming and cooking class. You can give this a miss without any regrets.”
